OOOOhh tecchie moment

Just worked out how to have a list of the blogs I follow. Not many at the moment but I am sure I will get the hang of it. Attic24 basically taught me how to crochet (must say 'thank you') from her online tutorials. From Attic24 I found Little Tin Bird and the other two came from there. Thanks x

Number 12- Pay off my student loan

This was really the only thing on my list that I wanted to cross off before I actually turned 40. I don't know why. I have had it hanging over me for so long, it had become like a friend-albeit a friend I did not want to spend much time with. Anyway- come  pay day in October last year, I was on the phone sorting it out and watching my bank account as I became so rich and then so very, very poor. It is funny that I see this as an achievement. I just need to dig out my final statement and post a photograph as proof. I will do that soon.

Number 26- unexpected opportunity-part 2

Number 26 is my gap/unexpected opportunity. I have clay pigeon shooting from the other week and on Sunday I did some off roading.. I think the photo says it all! After the big puddle came a hill climb. Not exactly the Camel Trophy- but it is a start. Actually, this is a bit like 'where's Wally?' there I am- in the drivers seat. Listening to radio 4.

Driving. Number 9- driving abroad

One (well, two actually) of the things on my list relate to driving. I really want to be  more confident driver and I know my lack of confidence stems from not doing enough driving (because for years I lived somewhere with fabulous public transport links so I never needed to drive and now I have a boyfriend who does most of the driving-mostly because he is, by his own admittance (which is VERY important) A VERY BAD PASSENGER.) So at number 16 on the list we have 'Be a more confident driver' and I have put examples such as drive on the motorway and reverse on the drive- oh the extremes..... At number 9 is 'driving abroad'. In hindsight I am unsure as to why I have 2 driving tasks but it is too late to change it. So, whilst I am still working on the number 16 (UK based) I do have some photographic proof (sort of) of me driving abroad last year. I say sort of, because the photo is actually taken at a service station on the outskirts of Luxembourg. To clarify, I drove from Holland to Luxembourg via Belguim but I am not actually in the car for the photo. Oh well. It is also not a very flattering photo. In my defence, I was running on energy drinks/adrenaline/not much sleep in the last 36 hours and the high of navigating the wrong side of the road. Oh yes and orange is not really a good look. As mentioned previously. But I am now crossing numer 9 'driving abroad' off my list.

It appears that unconsciously I am taking tips from the Simon Cowell school of trouser wearing.

Note to self.

Must update this on a regular basis as it is not really good enough to randomly update. Although to be fair, once my list really gets off the ground I think I will post more often. Yes, that is exactly why things are so slow on here...because I do not have anything to write about. I have decided that each event deserves its own post so I am going to do a mass update of 3 (yeap, count 'em) or even posssibly 4 (woah... steady girl) posts.

Number 14- go roller skating

Well, a couple of weeks ago I got to cross off number 14 on my '40 4 40'. I expect you have guessed from the post title that it was roller skating. I used to love roller skating when I was younger and a few years ago it appears that I thought I still loved it as I got myself some roller boots. I must confess that in the time between getting the boots and the other weekend (at least 6 years) I did not do any roller skating . So the other weekend I invited a few friends along to celebrate and fun was had by all (or so they tell me). In fact, a few of us were skating round and round and round (and round and round) for 3 hours. My thighs were like rock the next day. Anyways- please see the proof of the skating. And check out those leg warmers. I got all the girls legwarmers (fluorescent green/pink/orange) and the orange ones were almost fit-inducing underneath the disco lights.
