This is my latest amigurumi. It is supposed to be a dog. Not necessarily the mouse/dog/AT AT walker hybrid creation that you see here.

Long time no hear

Hello. The ripple got abandoned. I started again . That version got abandoned. I didn't crochet for ages. Then I started the cosy blanket from Attic 24. For Lent I have given something up and taken something up. I have given up snacking between meals and taken up getting a row of colour on my blanket a night. I am liking the fact that this means in 40 days. It could be finished. I like my crochet to have a memory. My big stripe is dedicated to all seven series of The Shield. Every time I look at it I think ' corrupt policing'.
In other news I have been thinking about Instagram. Most of the bloggers in my sidebar are now on Instagram and until I found them again I didn't realise how much I missed them. A photo and a couple of lines of text are appealing to me. Sometimes blogging seems too complicated. Like now, I can't find how to link to Attic 24 on the iPad. Luddite.

Wavy wavy

Sweet baby Jane- look what is going on here..... A ripple. I am rippling. And I am very much enjoying it. I am sure I can hear the sea as I ripple along .....
Apols for the pyjama background .

I went a bit a OTT with the mandala love in the summer! I sent my Yarndale one off and I did find homes for the others. And I ended up making more as my mum wanted some more. I loved the fact that they were pretty and quick. Plus I could sit in the garden with a cup of tea and look at the garden instead of actually gardening .

Cat crochet

My friend found a stray cat. I crocheted a blanket for cat as you do. Friend decided blanket was too nice for cat so blanket is now lap blanket and cat has no blanket.

Here it is in all its unfinished glory. I think I have patchwork block as it has taken me years ( and years) and I have finally admitted to myself ( and anyone who will listen/is interested) that I have a mental block about finishing it. I am going to finish it this year and back it onto the purple sheet and have it as a bedspread. I was going to edge it up straight but a friend suggested I leave the edges as they are and just back it and I quite like that idea. Once I get into it, I don't think it should take me long. The nightmare will be making the edges straight. She says/ hopes.
I have too many outstanding projects. All at that finishing stage but at the bit where it is boring and you have to concentrate and just need to get on with it. I am hoping to finish two this weekend.
